The themed compilation “Reggae Loves Rasta” arrives April 22nd, 2022 on all streaming platforms. The compilation of hit records from the VP / Greensleeves catalog is centered around musicians who perform songs inspired by the Rastafarian faith.
Curated by Eisaku ‘Selector A’ Yamaguchi, the 13-track project features genre stalwarts Sizzla Kalonji, Anthony B, Freddie McGregor, Jah9, Richie Spice and more.
Focus tracks for this release come from Dennis Brown whose song “Stop The Fussing and Fighting” speaks as loudly today as it did when it was released. Paired with D-Brown is Freddie McGregor’s standout “Lock It Down.” Freddie is right on point when he sings “clean up your lyrics and spread love around.” Feature photo and article courtesy VP Records.
