The development forum of fashion and design sector in the Caribbean
In the frame of the mobilisation of the fashion sector introduced in 2012 on the occasion of the « Buzz Caribbean » program, the Guadeloupean Regional Council goes on its economic and cultural promotional action by the organization of the second edition of the forum KREYOL FASHION DAYS in June 2015.
This initiative is led in the frame of the European plan « Caribbean INTERREG IV » whose implementation has already allowed an unprecedented mobilization of regional and international participants, the identification of the sector issues and working tracks but also the support of concerned audiences (professionals, students, institutions).
Encouraged by this successful experience feedback, and because of the economic dimension of Fashion and Design sectors in the region, the second edition of the international forum of the KFD will take place in Guadeloupe from 1st to 6th of June 2015.
In addition to the main « Fashion Weeks » of the Caribbean, the activities and works proposed by the KFD meet the needs of professionals in the area in the frame of their brands and companies development .
Some themes are considered as priorities: education, production and distribution.
During this week, experts and regional and international professionals will exchange to support creative and entrepreneurial initiatives in these domains.
The participation of all audiences directly or indirectly interested in the sectors of fashion, arts and crafts and also design is deeply encouraged. 
KFD program :
- On Tuesday, June 02nd: KFD photographs international exhibition opening
- On Wednesday June 03th: International and regional thematic conferences
- On Thursday, June 4th: Workshops on problematics concerning Caribbean markets
- On Friday, June 5th: individual interviews between guests and the audience + schools meeting
- On Saturday, June 6th: International casting for a selection of West Indian models by renowned international agencies
- On Saturday, June 6th: International Fashion Show
In 2012, KFD already welcomed the famous creator Jean Paul Gaultier as godfather of the event.
The prestigious guest of this edition 2015 is Brazil, a major reference in the sector of, international fashion, that will be represented by professionals’ delegation (schools, creators, textile industries, institutions).
