It’s A Wrap 3 – featuring Eeefy Ify

Date:

Wrap Star Ann-Marie Davy

“I have noticed that most Africans living both in the Western world and in Africa feel it is awkward for one to wrap their hair while donning Western attire but I think the right style of head wrap can actually compliment one’s ensemble”- Eeefy Ify

This week, CaribDirect.com, Sandal Solé® and “Headwraps and WrapStars” are pleased to present WrapStar Eeefy Ify!  She is a Nigerian born model, designer, author and motivational speaker reared in both Nigeria and Europe.  Eeefy has recently published an inspirational book (in magazine size), “Peering Through the Depths Of Life”, which addresses relationship issues, self-esteem, and other human condition topics.

I have heard women profess that they want to wear a head wrap but do not think it can be glamorous. Or they fear it will not coordinate with the clothes they already have. I have also been privy to the thoughts of men who declare not to have known that head wraps could be “fashionable”.  Well, here’s Eeefy with her stunning combinations to dispel those fears and misconceptions! She resides in Beverly Hills and does not wear head wraps as the “new accessory” instead she rocks it as a proud African woman!  She says “as an African woman growing up in Africa I learned to value and take pride in this rich element of our traditions”.

As you can see, Eeefy elegantly coordinates her traditional African head wraps with chic western attire, thereby creating a unique look that compliments her statuesque figure. She is proof that a head wrap is the perfect partner to a beautiful gown or a splendid element to make the wearer stand out during a night out in Beverly Hills. She can rock it radiantly while enjoying a night in on the couch or settee (as some of my Caribbean massive may call it). And you can too!

When asked about her art of pairing the two worlds, Eeefy says: “as a proud African woman that loves to exemplify my origin, I can’t abandon this beautiful component of my heritage, thus I incorporate and match my head wraps with my Western style of clothing.”  Well said Eeefy! I invite all our readers to give this a try; incorporate a head wrap with your beautiful sweater or blouse or try it with a gown as you attend those winter weddings.  You will be pleased with feedback!

I would like to leave you with a direct quote from Eeefy herself: “Head wrapping is not really about seasonal trends, but it is rather a perpetual fashion style and it is undeniably feminine, queenly and very appealing, so don’t be afraid to explore the art whether you’re an African or not.  It is Fashion and wearing different styles is a universal phenomenon
