Local news agency iNews understands that Magistrate Chandan-Edmond was hauled before the JSC, chaired by Chancellor Carl Singh on Thursday, February 19, where it was claimed that a Minutes Book went missing while she was on maternity leave.

Mrs Chandan-Edmond is expected to challenge the decision of the Commission. She was expected to sentence the son of Prime Minister Samuel Hinds sometime next week.

Hinds Jr. was accused of assaulting his sister-in-law, Tenza Lane. Magistrate Chandan-Edmond found Hinds Jr, guilty on February 6 last. He had accused his then 18-year-old sister-in-law of stealing one of his cellular phones, as a result of which he flew in a rage and assaulted Lane.

In the process, he brandished a gun and threatened to kill Lane during the incident at his Lot 83 Duke Street, Kingston residence on February 27, 2014. Article courtesy http://www.inewsguyana.com/
