Does my masculinity offend you?
Am I too independent, proud and not submissive?
Is it my dialect, the coinage, my innovation? My culture and how it excludes you?
The same culture you try to pimp, rape, monopolise, but still taunts with independence,
Does it offend you that I don’t want to have your handouts?
Does it offend you that I’m waking, embracing the better ways… To yours
Is it the melanin in my skin? Or how i have your women on all fours?
Is it that I belong? And my family’s closer than yours,
Are you jealous of Africa and are you seeking nostalgia,
Are you mad ’cause you want the freedom to call me a nigger?

Does a gun make you feel powerful? Does a uniform make you a King?
Can you jail me, and maim me and kill for nothing?
Do I have less rights? Should I be grateful to exist?
Should I wear a sign publicly: “I apologise for my blackness”
Should I relish being your ‘other,’ your subsidiary, less able,
Should I sing and clap and pray to white angels..?
Will God provide? Is it when Jesus comes from the sky…
When I’ll see equality between you and I..?
Should I be angry? Please tell me I’m sure that you know,
Is racism, outdated, inflated and old?

Are you trying to make me angry? Are you trying to start war?
Should I take your killings, as innings for centuries and more
I will debate on twitter, cyber protest and march
Will you care or behind closed doors just laugh?

See I was playing, I know a few things,
I know you’re not no Kings,
Ultimately FUCK Your system; epitome of cold, callous barbarism,
Taking the lives of Mike Brown, Eric Garner and Trayvon Martin,
The Criminal media’s portrayals are disgusting,
Tarted up genocide, post-modern oppression.
Busying yourself with keeping us second,
From the ghettos, to shootings, war on drugs to lynchings,
And don’t think it’s just a yankee ting its right here in Britain,
We rioted and still have no justice for Mark Duggan.

But that’s The Big Bad West. The ‘super civilised’,
The Patriarchy police are absolutely asinine,
Demonising our youth and excusing Columbine,
But Baby blue eyes are ‘legally blind’ when our black blood dries,
And a mother, father and community cries,

See if we want we’d be murdered today, it’s as easy as pie,
Just be black, male, working class and unarmed to qualify…
