Following the much talked about visit to Jamaica by British Prime Minister David Cameron last month, former Prime Minister of Jamaica Hon. P J Patterson wrote him a stern letter on the issue of Reparations and Britain’s refusal to apologise for the atrocities therefrom.
On behalf of the Caribbean the former prime minister accosted David Cameron for trivialising the continuing pain and suffering experienced by the region as a direct consequence of the Triangular Slave Trade.
He further said that the good behaviour of Jamaican parliamentarians while he delivered his address was not because they agreed with his message but due to their respect for the institution of Parliament and what it represents. Article courtesy http://nationwideradiojm.com/See full letter below.
