A Trademark is like a logo, it can be registered and protected. Everyone who can recognise it will associate it with certain qualities. A watch made by Rolls Royce would be expected to be different than one made by Sports Direct. The Coca cola trade mark is worth more than all the factories, lorries, bottles and fridges owned by Coke. Once you own the trade mark banks will lend to you, distributors would distribute, shops would sell and customers would buy.
