Please don’t misunderstand, no one did anything wrong to me or vice versa, being away opened my eyes to see that certain relationships/situations had run its course and there was nothing left to feed life into. Let’s take food for example when eaten before it’s best before date or just after it provides nutrients to our bodies, but generally if that same food is eaten after it’s used by date it will make us ill.
What is it in your life that’s causing you to remain ill or locked down? It could be spiritual, a relationship, your health, work etc. As restrictions are scheduled to be lifted in the UK on June 21st, maybe you could consider removing things from your life that are restricting you. I really want to encourage you to get away, even if it’s for a day while the children are at school, take pen and paper and write down everything/person that ‘s feeling burdensome. Also consider your thinking as they too often play a part the bible says in Proverbs Chapter 23 verse 7 that “As a man thinks in his heart so is he”.
Prior to getting away many times you don’t realise how certain things/people have a negative impact because they operate in your life on a routine basis. Getting away from your environment brings peace and clarity it’s time for a new you to come forth, you may feel now is not the right time, maybe it isn’t but the fact that you can see a better you within your heart confirms it’s on the horizon, and you don’t want to miss the chance to rise when the opportunity presents itself.
This quote by Joseph Campbell (an American professor of literature at Sarah Lawrence College) sums it all up for me “We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us.” I had planned my life with good things however, during my sabbatical I asked myself the question ‘what purpose do these good things serve in my life now?’ Being away from home brought to my attention that I had to quietly let people and things go, there was no fanfare, grand gestures or announcements; they just gently fell by the wayside.
Your life is God given power which only you can change, do whatever you can within reason for the ‘New Dawn’ to arise in your life. Your new sun rays will bring encouragement and joy to others, start that book, new business, encourage wives-mothers, other women, whatever it is, let your light shine to bring other’s hope and glory to God, you can do it because you’re already amazing!
Until next time, remember you are beautiful and wonderfully made – With love Amanda x
