It is no secret that when former Portmore Empire member, Deva Brat was facing carnal abuse charges, Vybz Kartel was somewhat vocal about the issue in his songs.
Well according to Deva Brat in a recent interview with The Star, “Karma out to get Kartel.” In the interview he went on to say, “Karma is a… the same thing you wish for people, it will happen to you, I wish no bad on him, but a him first did duh song a style mi when I was in trouble with the law.”
Deva Brat then went on to comment on the ongoing court case with his former leader, being the first former Empire artist to comment on the issue, according to The Weekend Star, stating that he is not the least bit surprised by the DJs recent predicament because of how he lives his life.
Recently Vybz Kartel was arrested and subsequently charged for murder after a search of his hang out spots turned up the body of a man said to be a business operator in Portmore.
