Issue of Culture…?

Is there a linear definition for the term “culture”. On the University campus, our culture is diverse. Its diversification is the result of being from different faiths, races, ethnicities and sexual orientations. However, during different times of the year, such as Carnival or Independence Day we all share the same culture.

This blog seeks to question the interpretation of today’s cultures. Whether you believe that the culture of the contemporary Caribbean; more specifically your Caribbean island, is acceptable or not. The culture I am referring to takes two forms.

The first is do you agree with the culture and mindset of today’s generation.  The second is the issue of sexuality and sexual orientation. Do you agree with the new culture of sexual preferences and sexual acceptability of the people in today’s society.

As mentioned before, culture is diverse. Many people see different things as culture.

My questions to you are:

What is your definition of culture?

Can difference in sexual orientation be viewed as culture?
