Visiting Saint Lucia: Negative Covid-19 PCR Test Required

I hope all is well with you and your families.

As you may be aware, British Airways will re-start a weekly service to Saint Lucia from 25^th July. We are thrilled to have a service from the UK back in operation, especially as we know there are many nationals who have been stranded in the UK since the end of March.

In order to keep both locals and visitors safe, Saint Lucia’s current protocols require that all arriving visitors and nationals require a negative PCR test result up to 7 days before they fly and all arriving passengers, must complete a pre-arrival registration form (click this link for full details https://www.stlucia.org/en/covid-19/). Unless you qualify for a test through the NHS, the majority of people will have to purchase one through an accredited, private medical provider. We, from our own research, can see that the tests can be expensive, but a negative PCR test does need to be secured before travel.

One of our partners, Newmont Travel, has negotiated a special rate of £110 for a test at City Doc.  All you have to do when making the booking by phone is to say “Mr Newmont sent me” or use the same as a password if booking online. https://www.citydoc.org.uk/newmont/

Please note that it is the responsibility of the traveller, to obtain the test and SLTA does not endorse City Doc.

There are other companies offering the test and costs vary and you may have to pay more to receive a signed letter from a medical professional confirming your test result. Estimated turnaround time is approximately 48 hours from laboratories receiving back the sample, due to increasing demand for the test postal delay can occur, so do factor this in when making your arrangement.Please note that it is the responsibility of the traveller, to obtain the test and SLTA does not endorse City Doc.
